Who are you?
i’m Eric G. Creative, formerly copywriter. Father. Husband. Son. 44. I like to doodle.

What’s your opinion on Instagram?
It’s a powerful tool, but they should not have accepted the offer of Facebook. Another thing is that i’m still unconfortable by the fact they stole every single key feature of other platforms. It started with the Loop (Vine was the first to make video loops). Then, Stories appeared from nowhere. And lately, Reels pop up to compete with TikTok.
There’s a lot of interesting content on Instagram, but the experience proposed is now a big mess, with too many adds, and an algorythm that controls everything.

What is the project you’re the proudest of?
Definitly the Armstrong Vine Awards.

Ok. Can you explain me more about it?
Yes. Of course. Every year, for the birthday of Vine, Armstrong organized an event named The Armstrong Vine Awards where you could win $10.000. It was like a new “Festival of content”. The idea was to have a ceremony with a jury of Vine creators, just like the Oscars, or the Cesars in France.
Everybody could participe in different categories and try to win the big Cash Prize. The last edition of the AVAs was just magical, from NYC, and with the participation of Mashable as co-host.

Nice. And did you get lots of interactions?
I mean, yeah. I don’t have the metrics in mind, but we had a lot of posts.

But it was not enough to save Vine?
Unfortunately.

T’aurais un DOS quelque part ?
Oui bien sûr. C’est par ici.

New question ?
Yes. It also means that you’re asking your questions to nobody.

Lancement du Playstation Network
C’est la plateforme de jeux en ligne de Sony. Elle est ici représentée par une porte dans un salon. Tout comme celles de Monsters Inc, elle donne accès à un autre imaginaire, où les possibilités sont infinies.

L’Equipe x Lego for the FIFA World Cup
Only official sponsors had the right to use the images of the games.
So L’Equipe, first French sports newspaper, teamed up with Lego to create original content for the social networks.

The idea was to show a stop motion version of the best goal of the day. So, every night, we produce a short stop motion video, all done with Legos (stadium, players, field, crowd, …) with the Vine app.

Key Facts
A single 4sec long video would take 6 to 7 hours to shoot.
L’Equipe’s Vine account surpassed the 6 Million loops.
Some players even saw & shared the lego version of their goals on Twitter.
